The Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) produces and distributes numerical, data mining components, statistical and visualisation software, compilers and application development tools, for the solution of problems in a wide range of areas such as science, engineering, financial analysis and research.

Libraries for the Solution of Mathematical and Statistical Problems

NAG C Library

A collection of over 1,450 user-callable functions for mathematical and statistical computation.

NAG Fortran Library

A collection of over 1,450 complex and highly sophisticated user callable routines for mathematical and statistical computation.

NAG SMP Library

A numerical library containing over 220 routines which have been optimized or enhanced for use on Symmetric Multi-Processor (SMP) computers, and includes the full functionality of the NAG Fortran Library.

NAG Parallel Library

A high performance computing library consisting of 180 routines which have been developed for distributed memory systems and clusters of workstations and PCS.

NAG Fortran 90 Library (fl90)

A collection of over 200 generic user-callable procedures, giving easy access to complex and highly sophisticated algorithms each designed and implemented using the performance, simplicity and flexibility of Fortran 90/95. These are equivalent to well over 440 routines in the NAG Fortran Library.

Maple-NAG Connector

With the Maple-NAG Connector, you can combine the pre-eminent modeling, exploration and application development abilities of Maple with the power and breadth of trusted NAG mathematical and statistical routines.

NAG Toolbox for MATLAB

The NAG Toolbox for MATLAB® provides access from MATLAB to over 1,300 quality NAG algorithms in areas such as curve and surface fitting, FFTs, interpolation, linear algebra, optimization, ordinary differential equations, quadrature and statistics.

Data Mining Components

NAG DMC

NAG’s DMC is a collection of callable components designed to help developers build fast, accurate, and robust applications for predictive analytics. You select the components you need for problem solving and readily integrate these components into your existing applications.

NAG Fortran Compilers and Developer Tools

NAG Fortran Compiler

A full ISO/ANSI standard Fortran 90/95 Compiler. Input can be Fortran 95 and/or HPF and a number of common Fortran 77 extensions are allowed. A new feature is the addition of two J3 Technical Reports which will form part of Fortran 2000.

Libraries, Toolkits and Packages for Visualization

IRIS Explorer

A powerful, sophisticated, yet easy-to-use visualisation package with a user environment that allows users and application developers to build applications for visualising complex sets of data. Built on the OpenGL® and Open Inventor™ standards.

Consulting Service

Routines tailored for performance and/or functionality are available through the NAG Consulting Service. Using NAG's large code base, consultants build cost effective solutions on a quality foundation.
