Graph

DESCRIPTION

This module plots an X-Y graph of one or more channels of data from a 1-D lattice. The Draw Mode selector allows the user to select between single channel plotting and drawing of all channels. In single channel mode, the Channel slider allows selection of the data channel (which element of the Num Data Variables to plot), starting from channel 0. The module automatically scales X and Y axes to accommodate any range of data, or the user may override the axis limits with the Min/Max Domain and Min/Max Range typeins. The graph can be made of points or connected lines.

Graph will accept one dimensional lattices of any primitive datatype. If the lattice is curvilinear, only the Point mode is available. See Chapter 3 of the IRIS Explorer User's Guide for more information on this module.

The domain axis window.

Port: Range Window
Type: Drawing Area
The range axis window.

Port: Channel
Type: Slider
This is the index of the channel to plot when in single channel mode.

Port: Draw Mode

Menu Item: Line
Menu Item: Point
This parameter selects between points and connected lines. Only points are available for curvilinear data.

Port: Min Domain
Type: Text
This parameter chooses the minimum domain value to display. If left blank, it will be automatically selected from the data.

Port: Max Domain
Type: Text
This parameter chooses the maximum domain value to display. If left blank, it will be automatically selected from the data.

Port: Min Range
Type: Text
This parameter chooses the minimum range value to display. If left blank, it will be automatically selected from the data.

Port: Max Range
Type: Text
This parameter chooses the maximum range value to display. If left blank, it will be automatically selected from the data.

OUTPUTS

KNOWN PROBLEMS

Sending an input lattice that is not 1-D will cause the error checking code to raise a Module Alert popup. If this popup obscures a drawing area on the module, then the module will refire when the popup is dismissed, causing another popup to be raised. Workarounds include not wiring in non-1D data, moving the module away from the popup, or maximizing the control panel to another area of the screen.
