The documentation (both the .chm help file and the Visual
Studio help) depend on the MathPlayer system that does not
work with recent versions of Internet Explorer. Details are
given
in this
article by Design Science, the makers of MathPlayer.
Related changes in Windows mean that on some configurations the installer
encounters an error while installing MathPlayer.
We are currently investigating alternatives to MathPlayer but technical issues in the new Microsoft Help Agent for Visual Studio mean that the standard replacement, MathJax, as we use in our HTML library documentation, does not work in Visual Studio.
